Battery thermal barrier pads

Glass-fibre, ceramic-fibre and pre-ox facings supplied as sheet or die-cut parts. The pack owner runs the safety test.

Barrier pads in a module context

The problem

A pack needs a thin, cuttable barrier between cells or against a module wall. The buyer has a drawing and a test protocol, not a desire for a website claim.

Why the sheet cannot be specified alone

Pack-level thermal-runaway performance cannot be attributed to a barrier sheet alone. The sheet is one layer within an assembly validated by the pack owner.

Fibre route and temperature ceiling differ. ST-S-FG, ST-S-CF and ST-S-PAN are not interchangeable without the issued sheet.

What SHINETON puts in the gap

Three public sheet families. Thickness is custom. Typical conductivity points and flame rating sit on each family page.

Request the TDS with the facing, thickness and the test the pack must pass.

Questions we hear first

Does this prevent thermal runaway?

No. The sheet is one layer inside an assembly the pack owner validates.

Which facing do I pick?

From the temperature and the issued sheet. Do not substitute grades by density alone.

Can I download a die library?

No public dump. Geometry comes from the buyer drawing with the request.

Typical values live on the family page. Specify only from the current TDS for the supplied grade. System design stays with the buyer’s engineer.
